How to make
In a bowl, add your softened butter and beat using a whisk until soft and creamy.
Next, beat in the sugar, then the egg, vanilla extract, our Festive Blend and finally the flour. Whisk until combined. If it feels sticky, add a little more flour.
Bring together the mixture in to a ball and chill the dough in a fridge for 15 minutes.
Pre-heat your oven to 200°C / 180°C fan. Line 2 large baking trays with greaseproof baking paper (brown).
Remove your dough from the fridge. Dust your surface with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of a pound coin. Then, using your biscuit cutter, cut out the biscuit shapes. Arrange them on the baking trays, leaving a little room apart. Re-roll the dough and repeat until you've used all the dough.
Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes until goldren brown. Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes until transferring to a cooling rack to cool.
For the icing sugar decoration (optional), mix icing sugar with 1 tablespoon of water until you have a piping consitency. Then, fill a piping bag with icing sugar and pipe the biscuits with your festive decoration. Get creative!
