Greek Souvlaki with Pork

Pork Souvlaki on Skewers

Cooking souvlaki in an air fryer is a fantastic way to add convenience, speed, and healthiness to your food. By using an air fryer, you can achieve that perfect balance of crispy exterior and juicy interior that is characteristic of traditional souvlaki, all while significantly reducing the amount of oil used in the cooking process. The aromatic blend of herbs and spices, combined with the tender meat or vegetables, creates a mouthwatering dish that transports you back to the sun-soaked streets of Greece.

How to cook

  1. To be done 2 hours prior to cooking, or ideally overnight. In a large glass bowl, add the olive oil, white wine vinegar, garlic and 2 tablespoons of our Souvlaki Seasoning. Mix together to make a marinade. Add the pork or chicken and mix in well until each piece is marinated.

  2. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes while you prepare the ingredients.

  3. Start to assemble your skewers with the pork and vegetables, building it how you like. We recommend meat at the bottom to keep it secure.

  4. Place the skewers in the air fryer and select 190℃ for 15 minutes carefully turning halfway through. Check the meat is cooked thoroughly before serving.
