Korean BBQ Pork Belly

Our Korean BBQ Pork Belly recipe is great for an Asian style tapas, or to serve with egg and mushroom fried rice. The flavours are rich and comes with a beautiful marinade to smother your pork belly bites, tofu or kimchi option.

You will need...


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of Great Northern Spice Korean BBQ Seasoning

  • 600g pork belly, cut in to 1 inch thick chunks

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger

  • 1 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds


Veggie / Vegan option...

  • Swap pork for tofu (vegan)


How to cook

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the pork belly, and mix with the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of our Korean BBQ seasoning.

  2. Place in to the air fryer for 25 minutes on 180℃, turning over half way through.

  3. in another bowl, prep the marinade by mixing together the honey, soy sauce. garlic, ginger, sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of our Korean BBQ seasoning.

  4. With about 5 minutes to go on the pork belly. pour the marinade in to small saucepan and cook on a medium to high heat, turning down if it starts to bubble and spit.

  5. Once the pork belly is cooked, add to a serving bowl and pour over the marinade. Sprinkle over the spring onion and sesame seeds and enjoy!
