In his latest culinary creation, he pays homage to the versatile King Oyster Mushroom, a favourite ingredient among food enthusiasts for its meaty texture.

For this particular dish, The Mancunian Cook has ingeniously incorporated the Great Northern Spice Souvlaki Seasoning, a blend of aromatic herbs and spices that elevate the flavours of the mushrooms to new heights.

Shredded Oyster Mushroom Souvlaki Recipe


You will need...


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Great Northern Spice Souvlaki Seasoning 

  • 1 tablespoon of rapeseed oil

  • 400g King Oyster Mushrooms

  • 1 red onion, sliced

  • Lettuce, shredded

  • Cucumber, sliced

  • Tomato, or cherry tomatoes, sliced

  • 2 Greek style flatbreads

  • 3 tablespoons tzatziki


How to cook

Marinate the mushrooms in the Souvlaki Seasoning and oil for 1 hour before.

  1. In an oven on 180℃, bake the marinated mushrooms for 15 minutes, or until starting to crisp.

  2. With a few minutes to go, warm up the flatbread, then garnish with the sliced onion, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and sliced cucumber.

  3. Add the mushroom souvlaki on tip of your flatbread and salad.
