A classic Chinese takeaway favourite, Salt N Pepper is a dish that packs a punch of flavour with its perfect balance of heat and spice. This popular dish is not only delicious but also incredibly versatile. While the traditional recipe features pork, you can easily customise it by substituting with other proteins like chicken or even tofu for a vegetarian option.

Chinese Salt N Pepper Pork Recipe
You will need...
Ingredients
1.5 tablespoon of our Great Northern Spice Chinese Salt N Pepper Seasoning
2 large pork steaks
1 tablespoon rapeseed oil (or olive oil)
1/2 red bell pepper thinly sliced
1/2 green bell pepper thinly sliced
2 spring onion, diced
How to cook - oven option
Preheat your oven to 180℃.
In a large bowl, add the pork steaks, splash some oil over and sprinkle over the our Chinese Salt N Pepper seasoning. Mix in well ensuring all chips are covered.
Add to a non-stick baking tray and oven cook for 20-25 minutes on 180, turning halfway through.
Add the peppers in with 15 minutes to go otherwise they could burn if left in for 25 minutes.
Sprinkle over the spring onion with a few minutes to go, then enjoy!

How to cook - air fryer option
In a large bowl, add the pork steaks, splash some oil over and sprinkle over the Chinese Salt N Pepper Seasoning. Mix in well ensuring all chips are covered.
Add the pork steaks and peppers to your air fryer and cook for 15-18 minutes on 200℃, shuffling halfway through.
Sprinkle over the spring onion with a few minutes to go, then enjoy!
